Sanusi H. Umar, M.D.
Dr. Sanusi Umar is certified by the American Board of Dermatology. He also completed a fellowship training in cosmetic surgery under the direction of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. As a pioneer in hair transplant surgery, he is widely published in his field, appearing in respected journals such as the Journal of Dermatology and General Medicine, and he gives presentations at national and international conferences. Earlier in his career, he also achieved certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine
A native of Nigeria, Dr. Umar trained as a surgeon at the UniMaid College of Medical Sciences. He left his practice as a surgeon there after four years to expand his knowledge of medicine in the United States. Dr. Umar completed his first residency training in Internal Medicine at the Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, New York. There, his work and research in the field of infectious disease was recognized with a first place award from the Long Island Infectious Diseases fellows’ competition, and he was invited to present at the 1998 International AIDS conference in Geneva, Switzerland. He was again honored to chair a session at the International AIDS conference in Durban South Africa in July 2000.
With his advanced training, love of research and interest in a natural process for hair restoration, Dr. Umar pursued his passion of the art and science of hair transplantation. After personally experiencing the devastating consequences of a botched hair transplant surgery, he wanted to find a solution for others.

Rattapon Thuatong, M.D.
Dr. Rattapon Thuatong is a psychologist and psychiatrist currently serving as instructor, Head of Division of Hair Disorders and Hair Transplantation at the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University’s dermatology department in Thailand.
He completed his residency in internal medicine at Sinagarind Hospital of Khon Kaen University, and also completed other residencies in the dermatology departments of Case Western Reserve University and Siriraj Hospital. He earned certifications from the Thai Board of Internal Medicine and the Thai Board of Dermatology. During fellowships at the dermatology departments of UCLA and the University of Pennsylvania, his areas of concentration included hair transplantation for gene therapy, hair disorders and laser cosmetic dermatology.
Dr. Thuatong is widely published in the academic journals of his field and is a frequent presenter at dermatology conferences. He is a member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery and the American Academy of Dermatology.
